3D Scanning & Enlarging

3-D Scan of Liberty Bell is cast in bronze

Our 3D laser scanner is ideal for scanning scale models and pieces up to 36 inches in size. A turntable rotates the object as the laser scans the surface. The object is then positioned on it’s side so that the top and bottom can be scanned. Our skilled computer artist merges the scans, and can make alterations or edits to the 3D image if desired. The result is a computer file which can be enlarged or reduced, and replicated by a CNC milling machine.

CNC Replication

3-D Scan of Eagle for WWII Memorial to be cast in bronze

From a three dimensional CAD file, our very large CNC milling machine can carve a scale replica of a sculpture in rigid foam. This is especially useful for the artist who produces large scale work. Smaller prototypes can be quickly and easily enlarged to full size. The rigid foam replica can be worked to add surface detail by applying a thin layer of clay. The enlargement can be used as the original for the bronze casting process.

We also use our CNC Replication capabilities to help architects reproduce details for restoration, and we can reproduce various objects for movie sets and displays. Please contact us for more information on our CNC replication capabilities.
